Welcome. Copper Mountain College Foundation, (CMCF), (a 501c3 corporation), is the fundraising arm of Copper Mountain College, (CMC), the newest (108th) college in the California Community College System, in Joshua Tree, California, serving the rural communities of the southwestern Mojave Desert.
Formed in 1981 as part of the effort to establish a full service community college campus in the Morongo Basin, the “Friends” began the fundraising and public awareness campaign that led to the construction of the first phase of Copper Mountain College, dedicated in 1984.
